Energy Saving Trust is an independent organisation working to address the climate emergency. A respected and trusted voice on energy efficiency and clean energy solutions.

MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) is an industry-led quality assurance scheme that creates, sets and maintains the standards for the certification of products, installers and their installations.

The two organisation have teamed up to deliver Go Renewables - a scheme designed to make upgrading your home to renewable energy easy and manageable. The process of obtaining surveys and quotes from renewable energy installers has been streamlined by Go Renewables in to one home survey that captures all of the relevant information each renewable technology installer would need, this information is then shared with local MCS accredited installers to provide a quote for completing the works directly to the home owner.

Go Renewables Home survey - Jacinta has recently completed her training to be a part of the project delivering the Go Renewables home survey. The Go Renewable home survey gives you accurate and in-depth information on your home which is then shared with MCS accredited installers. The survey includes:

  • Calculations for how much heat is lost from each room (for sizing heat pumps)

  • An updated energy performance certificate (EPC)

  • Identifying the most suitable technologies for your home

  • Recommendations for where the technology could be located

  • Detailed floor plan of the property

  • Survey of roof / loft space for solar PV
